Pink Transferware and Dog Figurines

"I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive." ~Gilda Radner

Hello everyone, It has been awhile since I last posted and I hope you are doing well. I've been sick for the past week or so, but I am feeling much better now. Today I"m sharing some of my pink transferware for Pink Saturday  and some of my dog collection.(and yes, I have more)  we have a new store in town that benefits the S.P.C.A.

Johnson Bros. made in England ~ Old Britain Castles

This little bowl is an old restaurant piece and is marked Syracuse..China 101-J U.S.A.

I grouped all of my Terriors together. Aren't they cute?

This small dog, I found at an antique store years ago.

What a sweet face and soulful eyes...

these little ones were only $3.00

I couldn't resist this one. He looks old.

I love this little mama dog and her sweet puppies.

This little Terrior looks pretty old. I wish I knew more about it.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a good weekend.
~Clara

The pink transfer ware is so pretty and I love that pure white Scottish terrier figurine. I've had two very special Scotties in my life and have a very soft spot for anything that depicts them. I'm sorry that you've not been well, trust you are fully recovered now.

Hi Clara,

I'm sorry to hear you've been sick but so glad to hear you're feeling better! I so enjoyed your post. I also have the Johnson Bros. Great Britain Castles in pink; they're some of my favorite dishes. Your dog collection is darling. :) I especially like the terrier that you said looks old (the white one with red collar). He reminds me of our Scottish Terrier, MacDuff. You can see his picture on my sidebar. So nice to know that you love dogs.

I'm visiting from Pink Saturday, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Cute dogs - beautiful dishes!

I had gotten your post via email this morning when I logged on. I wasn't sure I'd laugh or cry - because of the quote and the fact that our dog had been up since 3:30 this morning. He had knee surgery and has an e-collar. He had been roving, dragging the E-collar against anything and everything and wouldn't settle down. Finally, I decided to come in here and knew he'd follow. Within minutes, he was laying on the floor and a few minutes later, his head was down. He's snoring now and then or something. Poor fella. He has so many behavior issues (and prescriptions) and this is his 3rd knee surgery in a year - first for this knee. I think we're all worn out from it! Regardless of his craziness - forget the fact he growled at me earlier - dogs are typically very loving and forgiving little Dudes or Dudettes.

I keep wondering how long I have to stay in here ("my office") before I can go catch up on sleep!

Happy Pink Saturday!

Every morning I drink my coffee from an oversize pink transferware cup and saucer, Masons, "Vista" pattern. My collection is not even close to yours. Pink is the very best, although the green transferware comes in a close 2nd. Those dogs! The little white Scottie is too cute for words.

Clara, I hope you're feeling better! LOVE your transferware but, that little dog in the saucer is my favorite. Such great detail. Thanks for sharing & have a great weekend. I'm not playing PINK today but, I hope you'll stop by to visit me too. Charlene

hello, Clara - the pink transferware caught my eye .... I inherited an entire set of pink English ironstone from my great-Aunt Polly - even a gorgeous soup tureen!
lovely to look at, and she used it for " everyday ", so it was well loved even before me
and I have a little chalk scottie just like yours, too! mine has green bow - he guards a special photo in my livingroom
