Tea In The Breakfast Room

Down, Down

Over the town.

Hello everyone. Today I am having tea in the breakfast room. Would you like to join me?

Twinings Lady Grey Tea is always a good choice.

I found this transferware plate while shopping at a little antique shop in Hendersonville, NC.

I love the rural scene and I seem to collect ones with cows.

The mark on the bottom of plate

This little cream pitcher was a gift from my mother.

The mark on the bottom of pitcher.

My little blue stoneware teapot came from Old Fort, NC. and was made by John Garrou.

I love it's pretty spout.

I'm beginning to collect some white ironstone but I've had this little mortar and pestle for many years.

Some lemon with your tea? I don't use lemon but I just wanted an excuse to take this picture.(I hope that makes since.)

A sweet little mixing bowl from the grocery store.
Teacup is by JG Meakin England~ Classic Blue Nordic.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

A delightful blue and white tea in your kitchen Clara, right down to the Smucker's blueberry jam - yum!
I was interested in the spout on your teapot and think it would pour very well with that design.
Have a great week.

I love all your blue! We visited Hendersonville in August. I loved that little town. All the painted bears were just too cute.

The lemon is a lovely touch with the blue and white dishes. Lady Gray tea is a favorite of mine, so elegantly named, too.

Your blog is pretty - I love the rose patterned background.

I saw your link on "A Delightsome Life".

Hi Clara and I sure did enjoy my tea with you. Love your pretty plate and tea cup. I don't drink coffee but I do love my cuppa tea! :)
The lemon looks lovely! I have a lemon tree and the fruit gets ripe just around December.
Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Such a sweet tea today! Your blue transferware is so pretty along with the yellow lemon. Your Moms pitcher is just darling and goes so perfectly with the other blue items. I like your wire basket holding the geraniums, so pretty with your blues!

I love blue and white -- so relaxing. The yellow lemon is a bright contrast with the blue and white -- so lovely. The little pitcher from your mother is wonderful. Beautiful tea! Happy Tea Day!

Hi Clara,
What a lovely tea in the breakfast room. Love your blue and whites and the shot of the lemon is very pretty! The little creamer is really cute and I like your teacup. The teapot has an interesting spout and would make for good pouring I would think. Thank you for joining me for tea and I wish you a beautiful week ahead.

Blessings,
Sandi

I love your pretty blue and white tea post!

I especially covet that awesome mortar and pestle - I broke mine a while back and haven't replaced and miss it often. I need to ask that as a Christmas present this year, I should!

Lovely tea, thank you for sharing.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I love to hear from you. ~Clara~
