Slice Of Heaven

The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry's cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I'll put a trinket on.

~ Emily Dickinson

Cicely Mary Barker~ The Acorn Fairy

Hello everyone,
Look what I found at the thrift store and just perfect
for this time of year. This vintage squirrel on a nut dish.

Some other thrifty finds is this
pretty iridescent basket weave fruit dish.

I think your beautiful bowl is Carnival glass, which is pressed glass always with a pattern and always with a shiny, metallic iridescent surface shimmer. Look it up and see what pattern it is. Your photos are really pretty, as usual. Keep blogging!
