November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.
With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.
The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring."

Hello everyone,
I hope you enjoyed your weekend.
I love brown and white transferware
and it's a perfect choice for this time of year.
This ceramic chicken is a mystery to me and the antiques dealer.
I can't figure out what it was supposed to be used for.
The holes in the base must have a purpose.
Does anyone know what it was used for?
Milk glass and transferware go so well together.
I found this little bird covered dish at an antique
store in town. It was distributed by Avon and
It's one of my favorite pieces.
A close up of the details
I'm slowly becoming crazy for milk glass.
My favorite transferware teacup.
This white ceramic birds nest with birds came from the same store
Won't you join me for a cup of tea?
Thank you for stopping by ~Clara

The brown transferware is just right for an autumn tea. I hope someone can figure out the holes in the bottom of the chicken piece, quite unusual.
Avon used to produce the nicest pieces, I wish they still did.
