"Today is the day when bold kites fly,
When cumulus clouds roar across the sky.
When robins return, when children cheer,
When light rain beckons spring to appear.
Today is the day when daffodils bloom,
Which children pick to fill the room,
Today is the day when grasses green,
When leaves burst forth for spring to be seen."
- Robert McCracken, Spring
My garden Club and our local florist set up a plan
where, for one reasonable price, we garden club
members will receive a bouquet of flowers each
month for a year. I put the arrangement in an old
yellow ceramic coffee pot I found at the thrift store.
I love yellow in the spring. It reminds me of the
buttercups my mother used to grow along our
sidewalk.
This is a pretty spring plate with lovely yellow flowers.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great week.

The cottage teapots are sweet Clara. I like the arrangement between your garden club and florist, perhaps I'll mention it to ours in town. Did you have to pay up front for the whole year?
Judith

Hello, I am french and I leave near Versailles. But, I am sorry, my english is not good. I love your yellow pot because is a original color not bleu ou rose... Have a good day !
Hello Clara,
Thank you for starting off my day with such a cheery poem!
Your tea setting is so cheery itself in yellow and white. I love the idea of getting a bouquet of flowers every month! Yours is very spring like!
Have a lovely day,
Hugs,
Terri
Hello Clara, your yellow is absolutely perfect for this time of year and also for me who has been stuck in the Pacific Northwest rain for weeks on end. I was just noticing some beautiful yellow crocuses in the garden and they stand out so well against the manky gray weather. So lovely that you belong to a gardening club. I keep meaning to join one here in Vancouver but I do belong to one in my other home in our village in England. I can't wait for the daffodils, can you? Then we'll have yellow everywhere. :)
Hello Clara:
I absolutely love those darling cottage teapots and your plate is really pretty! This post definitely screams springtime and I love it! Thanks for linking to Friends Sharing Tea.
Hi Clara: What a perfect post! Love the tea pots. Have a wonderful week. Blessings, Martha
Very pretty Clara! The yellow is so cheerful and it certainly brings in the air of spring~
What beautiful daisies! And I love the yellow pitcher ~ just lovely.
The pitcher is perfect for spring and I love the plate, even with no mark! Having fresh flower in the house is a little pleasure I never tire of!
What a sunshiny cheerful teapot & teacup. To have a fresh bouquet every month from the florist would be a delight. A garden club must be fun and very interesting...I know our local garden club ladies enjoy themselves, and their floral creations add a lot to out local fairs.
I'm fond of yellow, so I enjoyed your lovely photos!
Tis a lovely poem - I like it a lot.
Such beautiful springtime shots. Not long now until everything is 'rosy' in the gardens. Take care. Chel
