Weep no more my lady.. Oh, weep no more, today
We will sing one song for the old Kentucky home.
For the old Kentucky home far away.
Hello everyone.
Today I am having a cup of mint tea in celebration of the Kentucky Derby
and my mother's hometown of Louisville. It is a beautiful city and
Churchhill Downs is always a wonderful place to visit.
Won't you join me?
Look at this carved wooden horse I found at TJMaxx
a few years ago...He has the sweetest face.
Mason's teacup. Watteau England.
I found this Spode transferware plate-
a Woodland Horses Collection-
Thoroughbred, at Tuesday Morning. It makes a wonderful addition to
my brown and white transferware collection.
This is my favorite pair of Staffordshire dogs. They are
reproductions but I love the detail.
My little beagle figurine just had to get in the picture.
I found him at a gift shop...I think in North Carolina.
Another sweet face.
Years ago I was at an auction in Connecticut and bid on this tiny silver
teapot and won. It is sterling and the mark is 3 leaves above a shield.

I like your Kentucky Derby theme, and the horse plate is sensational. This all turned out pretty.
What a darling presentation of the Kentucky Derby theme! Loved it!
As I was heading out to a tea today with friends, fancy hats and all, we talked about the Kentucky derby and how the hats there were being featured.
You've created a cute little Derby vignette but I have to confess, I was looking intensely at the shiny silver teapot - a great find Clara.

Happy Derby day! Fun teascape tribute for the Derby. Really like brown transferware. All your china pieces look wonderful together. I saw those plates at Tuesday Morn -- glad you got them! Happy Tea Day!
How perfect your Derby day vignettes are! I love the plate and your horse figure, they're both lovely. Your china pieces are all gorgeous, as I specially favor the brown, although I have none, lol.. The dogs are my very fav pieces, though! Have a nice week.
