A Rainy Afternoon Tea

“Whoa, whoa! Hold up, there, kid.
She lives in Forks, remember?
So she gets rained on.”

~Stephenie Meyer

Well it's been raining here for so long
I just don't see an end in sight.

I'm sharing some of my blue and white transferware
and blue Hydrangea for tea parties and the Fourth.

I've already shared these dishes in previous posts,
so I don't have to much to say about them this time.

Hope you all have a beautiful Fourth of July.

Hi Clara
Love the new look to your blog, very feminine and my favourite colour.
Your blue and white tea is pretty, as is the hydrangea - a lovely hue of blue.
It looks like your button has changed too so I'll copy the new one for my sidebar.
Always a pleasure to visit you.

Beautiful post :)
I love the china and those little blue bird tea cups are delightful and oh so charming.
I don't know how you made your photo rain, but that is pretty awesome, too.
I really enjoyed my visit,
Connie :)

love your blue china. Everything is so pretty and inviting. I do need to have a tea with my blue china soon but have some of my grandchildren most of this week.

A special setting for tea with the blue hydrangea in the blue flowered pitcher is a perfect centerpiece. Your sweet blue bird cup and saucer completes your tea time! Have a wonderful 4th!

Oh Clara, I am so sorry it's been so rainy there - but I daresay it is a good time for tea.

LOVE that transferware.

And I lol'd when I read SM's quote. Heh. LOVE those books.

Hugs.

I like your transferware and the bluebird on your cup. Your blue hydrangea is so lovely! My white ('Incrediball') hydrangea is blooming profusely but the Endless Summer hydrangeas are not blooming yet and in fact have very few buds forming. Must have been due to the heat and drought last summer.

I like your blue and white transferware, Clara, and the hydrandea is gorgeous! The blue bird so so sweet! A perfect post for tea time and the 4th of July. Thanks for sharing.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Clara,
I am so sorry that the rain didn't stop there. I hope the weather will change soon. We have now a bit more sunshine. Thats absolutely necessary for a good mood. But your tea time is so lovely. That makes a good mood although it rains outside. Thank you for sharing this blue happiness.
Best greetings, Johanna

Your blog is so lovely - even in the rain! Ha! What a lovely posting.

We had rain yesterday and last night we had mud/limbs, etc from the burn scar invade the creek in Manitou Springs - mud all on the roads and a mess! They have been warning for a year and it has happened yesterday.

Thanks for sharing at Tea In The Garden!

Hi Clara, I got it in mind to use blue and white cups too today. There's something so cool and crisp about blue and white...classic. :) Your bluebird cup is just beautiful and I love it, and one of your cups, the one inside the other, is a Czech blue onion cup and very dear to my heart. I was born in Prague and have my Czech grandmother's collection of blue onion china.
